Setup Tutorial on Home · October 18, 2026
- Getting Started section on the Home dashboard with the official setup and feature tutorial: activate your free trial, explore the optimization features and get started. Included with Basic and Apex, and it plays offline from your installation.
- Video player with Play / Pause, seek bar, time, volume and mute, restart and fullscreen. It never starts by itself, and it remembers where you stopped so you can Resume or Start Over.
- Watch Setup Tutorial button at the top of Home scrolls straight to the video, and becomes Watch Tutorial Again once you have watched it.
- The installer is larger (about 295 MB) because the tutorial video is bundled so it works without internet.

Is BigLou's Optimizer free?
Yes. The Basic plan is free forever and includes the dashboard, PC scan, AI Optimizer recommendations, General Tweaks, Process Reduction, Network Diagnostics, Performance Insights, Game Profiles and backups with Undo. Apex adds the advanced boosters and tuning tools.
Will it guarantee more FPS?
No. Results depend on your hardware, games, drivers and Windows configuration. BigLou gives you supported controls and clear before/after tools, but we do not promise a specific FPS gain or zero input lag.
Why does Windows SmartScreen show a warning?
This installer is not digitally signed because a publisher certificate has not been supplied, so Windows may show Unknown Publisher or block it. Compare the SHA-256 on this page with your download, keep Windows Security turned on, and do not add broad exclusions. If Windows blocks the file, contact support.
Can I undo changes?
Supported changes store their original values and can be undone from the app. The Safety Center also lets you create a backup before applying changes, and the app prompts for a Windows restore point.
Which versions of Windows are supported?
64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11.
What is the difference between the installer and the ZIP?
The ZIP is the full package. It contains the same Windows installer plus links to the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, About page and Discord community. Download either one; both are checked against published checksums.
How does the Apex trial work?
The 7-day Apex trial is started from your account on the Pricing page. It needs no credit card and will not charge you automatically. One trial is allowed per account and per PC, and the optimizer needs an online license check while you use it.
