Version 2.0.10 is published as one Windows installer that includes Performance Lab and the AI Optimization Center, plus a full package ZIP that contains that installer, the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, About and Discord links. It replaces the earlier two-edition packages; the 1.2.38 notes remain below for reference.

Also in this release

Video player with Play / Pause, seek bar, time, volume and mute, restart and fullscreen. It never starts by itself, and it remembers where you stopped so you can Resume or Start Over.

Windows security

The installer is not digitally signed because a publisher certificate has not been supplied, so Smart App Control or SmartScreen may show Unknown Publisher or block it. Verify the SHA-256 hash and keep Windows Security enabled; do not disable it or add broad exclusions.

Integrity before saving

The Download page rebuilds the installer or ZIP from the published release parts, validates its exact published SHA-256, and saves it only after that verification succeeds.

Step 1: Download

Step 1: Download

Open the version 2.0.10 download page from the official website or your dashboard. Choose Download Free for the Windows installer, or the full package ZIP, and let the site verify that file's published SHA-256 before saving it.

Step 2: Windows Security Check

The 2.0.10 Windows installer is not digitally signed because a publisher certificate was not supplied, so Smart App Control or SmartScreen may block them or show Unknown Publisher. Verify the SHA-256 hash before running a package; do not disable Windows Security or add broad automatic exclusions.

Optional: Check the SHA-256 yourself

Open PowerShell, run the command for the file you downloaded, and compare the Hash it prints with the published value. If they differ, delete the file and download it again; do not run it.

Low-Latency Power Plan Update · Verified Downloads

This release publishes rebuilt Windows setup packages for AI Optimization Center and Performance Lab, plus the exact Both Editions ZIP. It extends the existing BigLou Apex power-plan action with a safer, app-owned Low-Latency Gaming plan and exact recovery of the prior active plan.

One owned gaming plan

Best Performance · BigLou's Apex creates or reuses only one named BigLou Low-Latency Gaming plan from Windows High Performance. It does not repurpose a customer's existing plan or create duplicates on repeat use.

Measured AC-only settings

The app reads, applies, and reads back only supported AC settings on its owned plan: processor maximum state, energy-performance preference, PCI Express link state, disk idle timeout, and USB selective suspend. Unsupported controls are skipped and reported.

Exact Restore Previous Plan

Before activation, BigLou captures the exact active plan. Restore Previous Plan activates and verifies that saved plan rather than guessing a generic default, then clears only the BigLou activation record so a later enable can capture a new baseline.

Deliberate safety boundaries

This release does not change DC or battery behavior, sleep or hibernate, NVMe or SATA policy, firmware, BIOS, drivers, core parking, Timer Resolution, Thread Director, or undocumented Registry settings. It makes no guaranteed FPS or latency claim.

Installer experience retained

The complete installers retain the required Terms of Service page, optional Desktop Icon, Taskbar guidance, Start guidance, proper installed-app registration, and an uninstaller that lets customers choose whether to remove saved data.

Reviewed Registry controls

The selected Registry update records the exact original presence, type, and data before a BigLou-managed change. It verifies supported writes, avoids duplicate targets, rolls a batch back when verification fails, and restores the original state rather than an assumed default.

Owned Apex plan copy

BigLou Apex creates a named copy of Windows High Performance and records its own generated plan identifier plus the previously active plan. It does not repurpose another existing plan or alter USB, DC, OEM, driver, or hardware-specific values.

Restore Previous Plan

Restore Previous Plan activates and verifies the recorded prior plan, then clears only BigLou's ownership record. It does not delete any power plan and never substitutes a generic plan when the original recorded plan cannot be verified.

This 1.2.31 update publishes the corrected setup files for both Windows editions and the exact Both Editions ZIP. It fixes Process Reduction Apply Selected and Apply All so both buttons submit the current Low Process Count, browser, and selected current-user startup choices through one reviewed path.

One reviewed apply path

Apply Selected and Apply All now use the same selection submission path. The current Low Process Count, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and selected current-user startup choices are included correctly; neither action turns on an option the customer did not select.

Truthful status

If no option is selected, the optimizer reports Nothing Selected instead of Applied. If a Windows operation or the required restore-point request fails, it reports Needs Attention and does not change the Low Process Count profile.

Exact restore stays intact

The optimizer continues to change only BigLou-managed settings, record their original values before a change, and restore the captured original when a previously managed option is deselected. It does not use a forced process-kill loop.

Protected boundaries remain

Windows Security, Windows Update, networking, GPU and chipset drivers, capture, streaming, audio, input, launchers, anti-cheat, BigLou's Optimizer, and Start With Windows applications remain outside Process Reduction changes.

Optional, explicit controls

All Process Reduction choices start off. The page can manage only Microsoft Edge Startup Boost, Microsoft Edge background mode, Google Chrome background mode, and user-selected current-user Run entries. It never manages BigLou's own Start With Windows entry.

Exact restore and drift safety

Before any change, the optimizer records the original value's presence, type, and data. If another tool changes a selected value, normal Apply and Restore stop at Needs Attention rather than overwriting it. Reapply Selected is a separate, deliberate action.

Verification after sign-in

While a Process Reduction profile is active, a finite BigLou verification task reads selected settings after Windows sign-in, records Applied or Needs Attention, then exits. It does not poll, remain running, or silently repair drift. Restore and uninstall remove that task.

Protected session cleanup

Optional cleanup requests a graceful close only for applications the user selected as eligible. It never force-kills, restarts, or keeps an app closed. Windows shell and security, capture, streaming, audio, input, networking, game launchers, anti-cheat, BigLou's Optimizer, and Start With Windows applications remain protected.

Manual review stays manual

The feature does not automatically change services, drivers, BIOS, device settings, Windows Security, Windows Update, firewall, system apps, WebView2, Widgets, Game DVR, Store permissions, vendor tools, or overlays. It makes no process-count, FPS, ping, or latency claim.

Always On USB — plugged in

The new control starts off. When selected, it uses Windows power-plan controls to disable USB selective suspend for AC power only. It does not alter battery/DC behavior, drivers, BIOS or firmware, polling rates, or USB hardware speed.

Restart persistence that verifies

After Windows sign-in, a dedicated BigLou task reads the actual active-plan value and repairs it only when Windows changed it. The app also checks when it opens or is reactivated, without repeatedly rewriting a correct setting.

Restore original settings

Before changing a plan, the optimizer saves its original USB selective-suspend values. Restore Original Settings returns every BigLou-managed plan to its captured value and removes only the dedicated USB verification task.

Clear device boundary

The app inventories Windows-reported USB and HID devices, including recognized Titan Two, Razer Wolverine V3 TE, RØDECaster Pro II, headset, and receiver names. Driver-owned per-device controls remain Needs Attention until Windows provides a supported and confirmed method.

Chrome Performance Persistence Fix

Both Windows editions now save the selected Chrome Memory Saver and Preload modes, keep the selectors synchronized with the verified settings, and restore requested Chrome Performance controls through the existing elevated startup task after Windows sign-in. Version 1.2.16 retains Timer Resolution persistence, the real BigLou Windows logo, secure server-authoritative 7-day Apex free trial with no credit card or automatic charge, Gaming Profile 2.0, benchmark updates, Apply Everything, power, RAM, safety, and restore controls.

Chrome selections stay accurate

Memory Saver now reloads Off, Moderate, Balanced, or Maximum from the verified policy state instead of resetting the selector to Balanced. Preload similarly reloads Off, Standard, or Extended from Chrome's profile settings.

Chrome settings restored after sign-in

After Apply succeeds and Windows verifies the existing elevated startup task, the chosen Memory Saver and Preload modes are saved and checked after sign-in. Preload is changed only while Chrome is fully closed and never overrides an unowned mandatory administrator policy.

Real BigLou Windows icon

The Windows resource now contains validated 16, 20, 24, 32, 40, 48, 64, 128, and 256-pixel icon frames. Windows can select a native BigLou logo for compact taskbar buttons, high-DPI displays, Explorer, and installer views instead of falling back to the blank file icon.

Stable taskbar identity

Both editions use the same stable Windows AppUserModelID and explicitly apply the logo to every WPF window. The installer refreshes Explorer after creating the branded shortcuts. If an older pinned shortcut remains cached, unpin it once, launch 1.2.16 from the Start Menu, and pin the new BigLou icon.

Chrome Memory Saver choices

Choose Off, Moderate, Balanced (recommended), or Maximum. BigLou uses Google's supported HighEfficiencyModeEnabled and MemorySaverModeSavings policies, checks Chrome 126+ for savings levels, verifies each registry write, and retains the exact original key, value, type, and data for Undo.

Chrome page-preloading choices

Choose Off, Standard (recommended), or Extended for every local Chrome profile. Chrome must be fully closed. BigLou updates only Chrome's network_prediction_options preference, preserves unrelated settings, blocks mandatory-policy conflicts, verifies every profile, and restores each exact original value or missing state.

7-day Apex trial

The trial begins only after the customer confirms. It lasts exactly seven days from the server-generated UTC start time, requires no card, never charges automatically, and is limited to one claim per account and PC.

Secure expiration and recovery

Trial customers must be online before applying a new Apex change. When the trial expires, new Apex changes lock without reversing prior Windows changes; Undo, Undo All, restore points, registry recovery, and safety controls remain available.

Gaming Profile 2.0

The retained Gaming Profile 2.0 update preserves exact original values for safe undo and includes the newer benchmark workflow in both editions.

Apply Everything controls

Advanced Engine, Networking, Game Booster, App Booster, and Verified Registry now expose a clear Apply Everything action. Unsupported, experimental, manual, and missing-target controls are skipped instead of being forced.

Verified restart repair

Persistent requests are saved only after Windows verifies the elevated startup task. After sign-in, the optimizer checks and repairs requested Chrome Performance, Advanced Engine, paid-suite, Registry, Game Booster, and App Booster state.

Best-compatible AI apply

Optimize Now and Apply AI Recommendations run the local hardware scan, apply the supported recommendations for that PC, verify the results, enable Auto-Optimize, and arm the same startup repair path automatically.

Persistent selected apps and games

Apply Everything activates all selected inactive Game Booster and App Booster slots. Their executable choices are remembered, checked after sign-in, and retried when the selected processes start.

Advanced Engine layout repaired

The complete page now has one visible vertical scrollbar. Drag its thumb, use the mouse wheel, or use touch to move the header, search and filter controls, compatibility center, and complete tweak list upward.

Timer Resolution choices

Choose 0.5 ms or 1.0 ms and press Apply explicitly. Because Windows timer requests are process-scoped, the verified startup task reopens the optimizer in the notification area and restores the saved request after sign-in. The setting stays outside Apply Everything so the power-use tradeoff remains an intentional choice. Undo or exiting releases it.

RAM-size SVCHOST control

Choose 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, or 64 GB. The optimizer writes and verifies the matching SvcHostSplitThresholdInKB hexadecimal DWORD, remembers the choice, and repairs it after Windows sign-in. Undo restores 0x380000.

Persistent Power Throttling policy

Turn off Power Throttling now participates in Advanced Apply Everything. The optimizer writes and verifies the Windows PowerThrottlingOff policy, remembers the request separately, and checks it after sign-in through the verified startup task. Undo restores the exact captured original value.

Advanced Engine cleanup

System File Checker, Windows Component Repair, and Driver Version / Update-Status were removed from the paid Advanced Engine cards in both editions, keeping the panel focused on the requested optimization controls.

General Tweaks navigation

The customer-facing General navigation tab is now labeled General Tweaks in every supported window layout in both the AI Optimization Center and Performance Lab editions.
